Design and Prototype Development of Synchronized Cartesian and Axial Robots
It has a structure created by combining serial manipulator robots and Cartesian robot arms and can be integrated into old and new press automation systems. This hybrid robot arm mechanism provides the opportunity to be used in presses where standard transfer robots cannot be used. It will also increase the speed and precision of production processes by providing a flexible solution for different part sizes.
The hybrid press transfer robot will be developed by combining axial/angular robot arms and Cartesian robot arms. The aim of the project is to develop a hybrid press transfer robot, which consists of a combination of SCARA robot arm and Cartesian robot arm. Our innovative design will make presses and molds suitable for automation, which are not possible with synchronous automation with existing systems. In the scenario where the Cartesian robot cannot fit geometrically or provide the desired movement distances, a solution will be produced with a hybrid press transfer robot.
